Job Title: Research Nurse

We are recruiting an innovative and enthusiastic experienced Registered Nurse to assist us in providing high quality planned nursing care for patients and volunteers participating in Clinical Research.

Edinburgh’s Clinical Research Facility (CRF), incorporates The Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility (WTCRF) at the WGH, the RIE Clinical Research Facility (RIECRF), The Centre for Dementia Prevention (CDPCRF) at Little France and the Children’s Clinical Research Facility at RHSC.

Jointly they provide a streamlined service to investigators of any discipline to conduct their clinical research efficiently and safely.

This post will primarily be based at the Royal Infirmary site; however the post holder may be required to work across all CRF and CDP sites.

Job Title: Senior Projects Assistant

The Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility is looking to appoint a Senior Projects Assistant to lead a small team. Enthusiastic and dynamic, with good attention to detail and the ability to organise yourself and others, you will develop, implement and maintain systems and processes to ensure the quality of data collection and clinical study information management relating to Clinical Trials.

You will be joining a dynamic, progressive Clinical Research Facility and working as part of a large multidisciplinary team. Strong IT skills are essential as are excellent communication skills. Some experience in a clinical setting is desirable.

The post is fixed term for two years in the first instance.

Job Title: Research Nurse, Mental Health Network

Location: Ukcrc Mental Health Network, Royal Edinburgh Hospital, EH10 5HF

Closing date: Wednesday 5th July 2017

Temporary: 1 year. Part time, band 6: £26830.00 to £35933.00

Post Ref: CRF/17/08/R1/SHOW

Provide research and clinical care including specialist advice and training when necessary to patients and volunteers participating in a range of complex trials and other high quality studies hosted by the NRS Mental Health Network (NRSMHN). Provide research nurse support to Principal Investigators on behalf of the CRF in both NHS primary and secondary health care settings university departments and any specific location as defined in research protocols hosted by the NRSMHN. This includes identification of patients service users and clinicians to participate in a range of NRSMHN clinical trials.

As part of the clinical research multi-disciplinary team the post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect care and associated data collection for complex research studies hosted by the NRSMHN ensuring the work meets all regulatory requirements governing clinical trials.

The post holder will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research subjects and their families in partnership with all members of the multi disciplinary team.

The post holder has responsibility for clinical and research governance issues.
