Software Development Manager

Location: Western General Hospital

An exciting and rewarding opportunity to manage a large web application development and support team. We are searching for an experienced, well organised and proactive manager who is looking for a new challenge.

You could lead and shape the future of our friendly and enthusiastic web development and support team, which is part of the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility (CRF). This team develops web applications, and currently provides support to 50+ clients across Europe.

In this varied role, you will be responsible for managing all of the software development projects, prioritising and planning workload for the team and making strategic decisions. You will have significant experience in an IT leadership role for a reasonably large team, as well as experience of developing policies and procedures.

Web Application Developer – ASP.Net / C# / SQL

Location: Western General Hospital

Full Time (35 hours per week), Grade – UE06 (£27,285 to £31,604)

We are looking for an experienced, well-organised and proactive web developer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Our friendly, enthusiastic web development and support team is part of the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility (ECRF). The team develops web applications, and currently provides development and support to 50+ clients across Europe.

In this role, you will be responsible for design and development of new applications and for continued development of the existing applications. Technically, you are a full stack web application developer using ASP.Net / C# and SQL. Your knowledge will be up-to-date with the latest web technologies.

This post will be based at the Western General Hospital, in Edinburgh, but will involve occasional travel to sites across Edinburgh and around the UK and Ireland.
