We wish to appoint a Project Support Assistant to provide organisational and administrative support to clinical research studies running primarily in the Centre for Dementia Prevention Clinical Research Facility at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh site.

Enthusiastic and highly organised, you will play a key role in ensuring that clinical research data are collected and maintained to the highest standards. You will be joining a dynamic, progressive Clinical Research Facility and working as part of a large multidisciplinary team. Strong IT skills are essential as are excellent communication skills.

Some experience in a clinical setting is desirable.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on 26 April 2017.

The post is fixed term for 2 years in the first instance.

We are recruiting an innovative and enthusiastic experienced Registered Nurse to assist us in providing high quality planned nursing care for patients and volunteers participating in Clinical Research.

Edinburgh’s Clinical Research Facility (CRF), incorporates The Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility (WTCRF) at the WGH, the RIE Clinical Research Facility (RIECRF), The Centre for Dementia Prevention (CDPCRF) at Little France and the Children’s Clinical Research Facility at RHSC. Jointly they provide a streamlined service to investigators of any discipline to conduct their clinical research efficiently and safely.

This post will primarily be based at the Royal Infirmary site; however the post holder may be required to work across all CRF and CDP sites.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Training and Support Officer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work within the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility (CRF).

The post-holder will assist the Edinburgh Clinical Research Facility IT team by providing training and technical support for CRF web applications in the UK and Ireland. The post-holder will need to have the ability to pick up technical knowledge quickly and understand the business behind the systems they are supporting. They will need to be able to follow procedures to install system version updates to customers’ servers and will need to have database query-writing skills to create reports for customers.

Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear, concise and user-friendly documentation is paramount for this role, as is good attention to detail. A degree in a technical or clinical area, or equivalent experience, is required.

This is a part-time role - 21 hours per week. The post is initially a one year fixed-term appointment and will include training and professional development. There is potential for the contract to be extended. Some travel required in the UK and Ireland.

We are looking for an experienced, well organised and proactive web developer with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

In this role you will be responsible for review of technical solutions and architecture for all Clinical Research Facility (CRF) web development projects. You will develop our core system which is built using the .net framework with an MSSQL server database. Technically, your knowledge will be up to date with the latest web technologies. You must be able to follow our existing development standards which include using version control software, adhering to our standard operating procedures and information security policy, and to help revise these policies as required.

You will join our friendly and enthusiastic CRFManager® web development and support team which is part of the Clinical Research Facility. This team develops CRFManager® and related applications, and currently provides support to 40+ clients across Europe.

This post will be based in the Western General Hospital, in Edinburgh, but will involve occasional travel to sites across Edinburgh and around the UK and Ireland.

As a member of a research team the post holder will have responsibility for the delivery of direct and indirect care and associated data collection for concurrent research studies undertaken in the department in accordance with the International Conference on Harmonisation Good Clinical Practice Guidelines (ICH-GCP).

The post holder will ensure the highest standard of care is delivered to research subjects and where relevant their families in partnership with all members of the multi disciplinary and research teams.

The post holder has responsibility and accountability for maintaining both clinical staff and research governance.

The post holder will provide clinical leadership within the CRF multidisciplinary team.
